Herbal Remedies*

Herbs have been shown to have many healing properties. Here are some of the benefits of the herbs I use in my products:

Chamomile, in addition to its well-known calming properties, is also a potent anti-fungal.

Eucalyptus is great for relieving congestion.

Lavender is the classic relaxing herbal scent. Great for soothing children (or parents!) at the end of a long day.

Lemon Balm has been shown to heal and prevent cold sores.

Lemongrass, besides smelling wonderful, is reported to repel mosquitoes and other biting insects.

Peppermint is known to relieve headaches, ease congestion, and soothe an upset stomach.

Plantain relieves inflammation, particularly skin irritation from bug bites and bee stings.

Rosemary's invigorating scent makes you more alert and improves attention and memory.

Sage helps control acne. When combined with coconut oil, it can clear the complexion without drying out delicate skin.

Rose Geranium has been shown to repel ticks.

Tea tree is the classic antimicrobial essential oil.
